Organization: Ely Winton Historical Society
Reports To: Board of Directors
Status: Part time, up to 20/hrs. a week

Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) provides hands-on leadership and day-to-day management for a small, volunteer-driven historical society dedicated to preserving and sharing local history. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, support volunteers, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Qualifications

Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

Strong organizational and communication skills

Comfort working with volunteers and small teams

Basic financial management and administrative skills

Interest in local history, preservation, or community engagement

Proficiency in technological applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, social media, etc.

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with grant writing or fundraising

Familiarity with archival or museum practices

Experience in a small or volunteer-run organization

Compensation
-
Salary: $15-$20 an hour, depending on qualifications
